Description

Several humpback whales appeared near Don D. Statter Boat Harbor on Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Auke Bay. Tour boats didn't need to travel far to see the whales feed on herring, and people gathered along the docks in the morning and early afternoon to watch the whales swim in and out of the harbor.
