Lay off of burglars

I think that burglars often get a bad rap. I mean, except for the fact that they are burglars, burglars are for the most part law abiding citizens. So why don’t we let just them be. And there is good reason to do so. Sometimes burglars are themselves the victims of a burglary. When that happens, certainly we would want them to report this to the police, but that won’t happen if they fear that if they do, they themselves may be identified as burglars. We certainly wouldn’t want that. If they don’t report the crime when they are burglarized, then we will never catch the really bad burglars.
